Groups and Networks

I should have blog this when I first came across it. It's maybe one of the most important images I've came across this year in terms of what networks are, how network can work. As I'm starting to think about colloboration and the Creative Industries Network I'm worry the network might be become a group and that is not what we need.

The Net Generation at Melbourne Uni

It's has been while since I've done any blogging. I think as I come to the end of year I'm in a more reflected mode and starting to think about new ideas of next year.

This article is really interesting, it around ICT usage of 1st year students at Melbourne Uni. For me things are important to remember
-the Arts students we the ones that where less interested in using technology in their learning
- compared to TAFE students University of Melbourne students would have more $$$ and hence more access to broadband and technology.
- blogs and mobiles are important
- making web pages is generally interesting for students (maybe this is a bit different with my students)

Overall maybe the Net Generations isn't as high tech as what we have been thinking.
